I didn’t disrespect nor threaten Baba Sadiq’s wife; all the claims are preposterous lies – Stonebwoy.
The wife of aspiring politician and entertainment critic Baba Sadiq has not been threatened or treated with disrespect, according to the strong denials made by Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla.
In response to accusations made by Sadiq and rumours that went viral on social media, the well-known singer and songwriter called these claims “preposterous lies” and conveyed his displeasure with the unfounded claims.
The ‘Monadzi’ hitmaker explained the situation in an open interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, saying, “I did not disrespect or threaten Baba Sadiq’s wife; all the claims are ridiculous lies. How easily misinformation can spread and harm people’s reputations is depressing. I have always interacted with people with respect, both in my personal and professional life.”
As for what really happened between him and Sadiq’s wife, the current Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year added that he has proof. He explained that the only reason he called Sadiq’s wife was to let her know about some accusations her husband had made on social media. Fortunately, since Sadiq’s wife is like a sister to him, the conversation ended amicably.
Prior to this, Stonebwoy was openly criticised by Baba Sadiq, who referred to him as a “two-faced hypocrite” and charged him with demeaning his wife over the phone.

In addition to calling Stonebwoy a “violent abuser of women,” he claimed that the artist’s public persona was a façade and that he was a terrible, conceited person in private.
In reaction to these charges, Stonebwoy filed a lawsuit against Baba Sadiq, requesting GHS 3 million in libel damages.
Baba Sadiq does not apologise for his remarks or actions, and he is steadfast in his stance despite the legal dispute and the gravity of his accusations.
