I did not excel in my B.E.C.E because of a broken heart- Sam George
Samuel Nartey George, a member of parliament from Ningo-Prampram, revealed that heartbreak was the reason he failed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E.).
Sam George asserts that despite failing the test, he did not receive an exceptional grade.

The politician, who has become well-known for his attempts to outlaw LGBTQ+ activities in the country, disclosed this information in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat.
The dialogue went like this:

Bola Ray: Have you previously experienced heartbreak?
Sam George: Alright
Bola Ray: Actually? Did someone cause you heartbreak? Whom?
Laughing, Sam George acknowledges that it was back when he was very little.
Bola Ray: What reaction did you get to that?
Sam George: It had an impact on how well I did in the B.E.C.E. I was not able to perform as well as I would have liked, even though I passed.
My heart was broken at a young age.
The situation affected my BECE performance.
