During an individual interview with Amansan Krakye, Kofi Kinaata stated that the legends of “fante-singing” music have achieved achievements that are unmatched by anyone in the present generation.

In the words of the great veterans of the Ghanaian music scene, like Ebo Taylor, “some of us in the current generation cannot do what they have done.”

“We just think that now is the right time for us to take action and play our part, so we will keep waiting until many other people join us,” he said.

To be honest, though, the songs that great musicians like Pat Thomas, Paapa Yankson, and others have written and performed are timeless.

“I tell myself that these legends have accomplished everything in the music scene already, even now, when I hear some of Paapa Yankson’s songs.”

“I am happy to hear that I am preserving the Fante legacy in the music industry, but I can not match what the legends accomplished,” he continued.
