I can’t advertise lotto, alcohol, condoms and aphrodisiacs – Piesie Esther
Piesie Esther, a Grammy-winning gospel musician, outlined the reasons why many artists do not receive the necessary brand sponsorships to advance their careers.
She claims that many companies that are eager to support artists promote goods that might not be consistent with Christian principles. As a result, it is challenging for artists to secure sponsorship from these businesses.
In an interview with Accra 100.5 FM, she revealed this.
“The majority of the industry’s top brands offer goods that conflict with the gospel. Therefore, gospel performers cannot endor Unlike those in the high life,
“Let us say an alcoholic beverage company asks me to promote their brand. Alcohol advertisements are not something I can do. The brand will not see any returns on these expenditures. As a result, they will not trade with me, she said.
The “Waye Me Yie” singer cited instances in which she had to decline lucrative offers because of her Christian ethics and values.
“A lottery brand tried to persuade me to promote their product, but I was unable to do so because the name of the brand would harm my business and gospel brand.
“These things are not always sinful, but you have to consider other people’s opinions in addition to your own. Lotto, alcohol, condoms, and aphrodisiacs are prohibited from my advertising, she said.
