I CAN PLAY AS AN INSTRUMENTALIST FOR A SECULAR BAND BUT CAN’T SING FOR THEM – PAPA OWURA

Gospel singer, Edwin Amponsah Sakyi, known in the music industry as Papa Owura has been speaking his involvement in the secular part of the Ghanaian Music industry.

The gospel singer, who doubles as a producer and instrumentalist was hosted by Maddona on Footprint TV, the No. 1 Christian Entertainment Channel on Monday, March, 13 2023. He was on the platform to promote his newly released song, P3Y3 remix, which features legendary Min. OJ.

Papa Owura made it categorically clear that he can be part of the instrumentalists of a secular music band, but, will never take up the microphone to sing for them.

According to the M’akoma singer, he released his first album in 2011 and followed up with some single releases. He also mentioned that he switched to singing in English because his voice and that of his brother, Minister OJ sound very alike when ever they both sang in the Twi language.

The multitalented singer also revealed that he receives most of his songs whenever he has a testimony about a particular thing that God has done for him. He also disclosed the role played by his church, International Central Gospel Church in the organization of his Jah Praise Concert in July, 2021.

The sensational musician is out with the audio and video of P3Y3 Remix, which features Min. OJ and are accessible on all digital platforms.
