I AM THE FIRST GHANAIAN LAWYER TO DO MUSIC PUBLICLY – FEE RANKING
Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall artiste Fee Ranking has stated that he is the first Ghanaian lawyer to do music publicly although other lawyers double as musicians in Ghana.
In an interview on Kantanka TV with Kimmy Baby, the musician disclosed that combining music and law is easy for him because the law aspect helps him read and write more songs.
Fee Ranking stated that music is his hobby. According to Kantanka TV’s Kimmy Baby, lawyers are very principled and disciplined and it is difficult for them to indulge in public works like doing music. Still, Fee Ranking stated that it is not as people perceive.
“There are some lawyers who are politicians, pastors, elders, evangelists and among others. Being a lawyer is just their profession and they can do other things as well,” he stated.
Speaking about his newly released single “Got To Run” featuring Hot Mix, he was questioned about why he included “Even Ghana Self Dey Owe” in his song which he said, “I am not encouraging debtors to be adamant to their creditors. I am a lawyer and I stand by creditors any time in court to enforce that their debtors pay them.”
