Ewura Abena clarified that her termination was brought about by failing to meet a work-related goal in an interview with Hitz FM on August 26, 2024.

“After a lengthy hiatus from ‘Agye Me Nkwa,’ I released ‘This Far’ on October 7, 2022, which was well received. Then, on April 7, 2023, I released ‘It Is Finished,’ and on April 12, I was fired. It seemed as though my work was completed when I said, “It is Finished.”

“Even though I had already reached 23.8%, I was told that I would not be able to meet the 24 percent target,” she recalled.

Ewura Abena described it as a “repetition,” noting that major life obstacles frequently align with her music releases.

It was easy to believe that history was repeating itself at that very moment. That is what previously happened to me. I put out a song, and it does well, but then something happens. Sometimes I have an accident, I give in to various problems’ temptations, and I sink again,” she continued.

Ewura Abena had a difficult time finding work after being fired, and she released music during that difficult time, which spanned April through September.

It was difficult for me to be jobless from April to September. Despite the difficult circumstances, I continued to release albums and go on tours, but nobody was aware of it. “I went into one of the hospitals after the launch in September of last year, and they offered to give me a 5-hour part-time administrative job,” the woman recalled.

She eventually got a job at a hospital as a part-time administrative assistant, but the job caused an accident that left her unpaid and dependent on crutches.

One to two weeks into it, I fell off the top, spun my leg, and ended up on crutches. Due to my part-time employment, I was not paid, not even on the day of my accident. Though it was difficult and mostly kept me away from my children, God got me fired from my first job, which is how I became bitter in heart as a humann,” the woman said.

When Ewura Abena looked back on her journey, she was thankful for the spiritual connection and personal development she had made during this trying period.

Glory to God, I had some private time with God at that point. I told Him, “I have seen You do this for me, and I will say it is okay with me,” and He gave me words of encouragement. I understand that worrying elevates the issue above where it belongs, but worship elevates God and His promises above the issue.

“God gave me a job the day I was going back to the hospital, and I got an email from the government offering me a job. Since the Bible claims that we have a high priest who is aware of all of our shortcomings, it was not just about the money. She remarked, “God knew I was not strong for the first job I was doing because I had a hormonal imbalance.”

She was rewarded for her faith with a government job offer that gave her stability and improved work-life balance.
