God Will Punish Those Rejecting Azonto – EL
Rapper El responded to critics who believe that reviving azonto is needless, on Radio Central in Cape Coast.
EL together with Sarkodie released ‘Revival’ a few weeks ago. Some industry folks and fans think azonto has had its time and should be put behind us but the rapper has different thoughts.
“Such people want to listen to Nigeria afro beat. Those people are not patriotic citizens because azonto comes from Ghana” he told host Amansan Krakye.
According to the ‘Kaalu’ hit maker, Azonto music is our own and must be accepted.
“Saying that azonto which belongs to Ghana is dead and cannot be revived is like rejecting your own child and those people making such claims, God will surely deal with them,” the rapper said.
After the release of ‘Revival’, EL continued to drop more azonto songs and is currently promoting them.
“By God’s grace my azonto songs are doing well and I heard people are loving the vibes and dancing to the azonto movement”, he revealed.
