Giving “Non-Living Thing” to Sarkodie was one of the best moves I’ve ever made- Oxlade

The Nigerian Afrobeats musician Oxlade has revealed a few details regarding his appearance on the song “Non-Living Thing” by Sarkodie.

 

The singer of “Kulosa” claims that he originally recorded the song for himself but ultimately gave it to the rapper who won the B.E.T. award.

Giving the song to Sarkodie was the best choice Oxlade had ever made, he said in an interview with Andy Dosty on Day Break Hitz.

 

It was me who informed him that I had a song just for him. It was meant to be included in my project. I said that this song was meant for Sark on the record that I made. The song was meant to be for him, as I knew in my heart. We performed “Overdose,” and I sang it for him.

“He came to Lagos for a promotional event, and after I played it for him, he said, ‘Yes, let us do this.'” The song became one of the biggest hits after we shot the music video. He said on Hitz FM, “I think that was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

 

The joint single “Non-Living Thing” by Oxlade and Sarkodie is unquestionably one of the biggest releases of 2021.

Sarkodie’s “No Pressure” album included the song.
