Ghanaian event organisers spend $3.5M on Nigerian Musicians Every December- Baba Sadiq
Sadiq Abdulai Abu, a well-known Ghanaian media entrepreneur and politician known as Baba Sadiq, has revealed that Ghanaian event organisers spend nearly $3.5 million on Nigerian artists alone every December.
Sadiq made the revelation ahead of the inaugural Guinness Accravaganza, a multi-arts experience in Accra celebrating all things black and magical.

The event, held on September 20, 2023, at the all-new Barndoor Beer Garden, featured seasoned enablers from the country’s tourism, creative, and cultural industries.
Speaking on the difficulties event organisers face in obtaining sponsorships, the politician who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 3Music stated:

“Since the beginning of the year, The budget allocated to the tourism sector alone cannot cover the entire year, but they cannot complain for fear of being victimised. They are aware that they are struggling but refuse to admit it… Look, in December alone, events in Ghana spent over 3.5 million dollars on Nigerian talent.”
