GHANA MUSIC IS STILL GROWING – LUNA LONZO

A Canadian-based artist, songwriter, and sound curator, Luna Lonzo, said Ghanaian music is still growing.

Luna Lonzo stated live on Guide Entertainment that there is a lot of potential in the Ghanaian music industry, and stakeholders must work well together.

“I hear a lot more foreign music in Ghana than Ghanaian music, which wouldn’t help the music industry grow further. I would like to hear more Ghanaian songs played out there.

Everybody needs somebody; that’s why we have legislation on broadcasting in Canada, and there’s also a coder that ensures broadcasters do what’s right in the country. TV and radio have to play 70% of Canadian music to limit how much foreign music is being played in the country,” he said.
