Ghana’s Chef Faila’s attempt to hold the record for the longest cooking marathon has taken an unexpected turn as the Guinness World Records (GWR) committee has disqualified her, despite her culinary spectacle capturing the attention of food enthusiasts in Ghana and around the world.
Failatu Abdul Razak, the seasoned chef, set out to break the current record for the longest cooking session, demonstrating his incredible endurance and culinary prowess.

The culinary sensation expressed her gratitude for the tremendous support she has received throughout her culinary endeavour in a statement she posted on Facebook on Sunday, March 3, 2024, despite the sad news.

“A rest break rule violation led to an unsuccessful attempt,” the Records Management Team stated in a statement.
GWR congratulated Chef Faila and urged her to go for more records despite the setback.
Even though this attempt did not set a world record, it was a priceless learning opportunity. She continued, “I am committed to pushing boundaries in the culinary world, and I am proud of the dedication and hard work put forth.”
