Celine Dion ‘no longer has control of her muscles’ – Sister reveals
The Grammy-winning Canadian singer Celine Dion’s sister, Claudette Dion, has revealed that her famous sister is battling a medical issue that has caused her to lose control over her muscles.
A sombre update on the ‘I am Alive’ hitmaker’s continued battle with stiff-person syndrome was given by Claudette, who also disclosed that her sister is experiencing trouble controlling certain muscle movements.
Recall that the Canadian music icon disclosed a year prior that she was diagnosed with an uncurable illness resulting in spasms and rigidity of the muscles. After postponing her tour, she gave an emotional update to her fans, stating that her spasms were affecting “every aspect” of her life, including her ability to walk and use her vocal cords properly.
Claudette Dion, her sister, stated the following in a recent French-language interview with the Canadian publication 7 Jours:
“She is exerting a lot of effort, but her muscles are out of control. I cannot stand how disciplined she has always been. Her work has always been intense. “You are going to do it well; you are going to do it properly,” our mother would always assure her. Returning to the stage is indeed the ultimate goal in both our and her dreams. In what capacity? I don’t know.”
