Celebrities are running into politics because of hunger – Kwaku Manu

Kwaku Manu, a Kumawood actor, believes that celebrities who have entered the political arena are only doing so because they are “hungry.”

According to him, these celebrities are only there for the money and have no desire to serve the people.

The actor and presenter stated on UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’ show that a large number of celebrities have realised that there is money to be made in the world of politics, thus their decision to get involved.

“Celebrities are hungry, and it is the primary reason some of us are entering politics.” Nothing is happening for us right now, and I believe it is past time for the government to come to our aid. Both the NPP and the NDC governments made lofty promises, but nothing has come to fruition.

“How are we supposed to live better lives when our leaders are only concerned with themselves?” “Here in Ghana, our leaders are constantly enriching themselves, their friends, and their families without regard for ordinary citizens, which is a very sad development,” he said.

According to Kwaku, the Minister of Tourism’s performance has been underwhelming because he has ignored the creative industry.

“I do not even know the Minister of Tourism because I do not know what he has done for the industry.”

“Ask most celebrities who the Minister of Tourism is, and I guarantee you that 90% will fail the test.” “It is clear we have been ignored because nothing is happening,” he said.
