Building a national cathedral is a misplaced priority – Samini
Samini, a multiple award-winning Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician, has spoken out against the government of Ghana’s plans to build a national cathedral.
In a recent appearance on “The Day Show” with Berla Mundi, the ‘My Own’ singer described the decision as a case of “misplaced priority.”
“I am not a believer in building a National Cathedral; it is a purely misplaced priority,” he said.
He emphasised that committing resources to the construction of a national cathedral was ill-advised at a time when the country needed to focus on correctly establishing priorities in order to confront ongoing economic issues.
