The Afrobeats sensation from Ghana, Wendy Shay, real name Wendy Asiamah Addo, has shared intimate details about her personal life, saying that calling it quits on her ex-boyfriend was the best move she has ever made.

Known for hits like “Uber Driver” and “Bedroom Commando,” the award-winning musician opened up about her journey towards self-discovery and empowerment when she joined Empress Gifty as a guest cook on UTV’s U-COOK show.
Wendy Shay claims that the breakup with her ex-boyfriend had an impact on her choice to record her survivor song.
She went on to say that the song exceeded her expectations and that it also helped her start earning some serious money and performing live outside of Ghana.

“Now that I am free, I believe it was one of my best choices. It is wise to let go of some people occasionally. I am a successful musician who now earns a lot of money worldwide.
When you visit South Africa, I am very well-known there. Even though I was big in New Zealand and Figi Island, Survivor is one of the songs I’ve made huge cash from,” she said.
The crooner revealed that she did not give the relationship her all because she was too focused on her music career and did not want it to work out.
