Ailing KK Kabobo receives more support from Samira Bawumia, Mahama

News of KK Kabobo’s liver disease became public earlier in February 2024, indicating that the veteran Highlife musician required assistance.

 

A variety of people and organisations, such as the Ghana Music Rights Association (GHAMRO) and John Dramani Mahama, the former president of the Republic of Ghana, gave financial contributions to help with his medical care.

By March 2024, additional funds and encouragement had been contributed to KK Kabobo.

Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, gave the musician a donation on March 2, 2024.

 

The musician was visited at the University of Ghana Hospital in Accra by Mark Okraku-Mantey, the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, who donated on behalf of the second lady.

 

The donation’s total amount was kept a secret.
The family of KK Kabobo expressed gratitude to Mrs Bawumia for her thoughtful act, stating that it was a huge comfort to them.

Additionally, KK Kabobo conveyed his appreciation to Mrs. Bawumia and everyone who has helped him during this trying time, including his friends, family, and prominent figures in the media.

 

Furthermore, on March 3, 2024, former president John Dramani Mahama personally visited the musician in the hospital, according to broadcaster Barima Kaakyire Agyemang.

 

In his quest to overcome his illness, he requested that Ghanaians continue to pray for him.

Barima Kaakyire Agyemang posted a status update about KK Kabobo’s condition on Facebook on February 26, sparking the initial call for assistance.

 

Social media users expressed sympathy and support for KK Kabobo after a picture of him appearing frail went viral.
