90% Of Gospel Musicians In Ghana Are Just Singing For Money – John Mensah Sarpong
Speaking on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmre, Mr. Sarpong said most of the artistes are ungrateful, and only chase after money, adding that their selfish interest is the cause of the woes of the industry.
The ace producer noted that most of the artistes go behind their producers to play shows, pocket monies without recourse to the producers, adding that this had made most of them recoil and sceptical about investing in gospel music.
According to him, until musicians change their attitudes, the gospel music industry will continue to suffer.
John Mensah Sarpong has produced the likes of Kweku Gyasi, Stella Dugan, now Stella Aba Seal, Ama Boahemaa and others.
