It is worth noting that Stonebwoy’s outstanding performance at the 25th TGMA was highly praised by attendees, who showered the creative director with appreciation for her amazing work.

With his amazing performance, the “Therapy” hitmaker stole the show that evening and dominated social media throughout the awards ceremony.

In a ChannelOne TV (formerly Citi TV) interview, Efua Sutherland disclosed that she got a last-minute call about Stonebwoy’s performance’s stagecraft.

Less than a week was all we had. The call was received rather late. Usually, it would take me about six weeks to get ready for such an act. It is great to see people value the effort,” she remarked.

The 25th TGMA took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Grand Arena. Many celebrities showed off their fashion sense at the event, which drew a sizable audience.

Not only did Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, win the coveted “Artiste of the Year” award and the most awards of the evening (six), but he also wowed the crowd with his live band. Songs like “Manodzi,” which features Grammy-winning vocalist Angélique Kidjo, and “Your Body,” an unreleased song, were performed by the legendary Afro-Dancehall/Reggae performer. In addition to winning Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and three other honours, Stonebwoy was named Artiste of the Year for the second time.
